Preventive Maintenance Model for National School Buildings in Indonesia Using a Constraint Programming Approach

The Indonesian government needs to maintain around 231,000 school buildings in active use. Such a portfolio of given the diversity locations, limited maintenance budget, and deterioration rates varied by different building conditions presents many challenges effective planning. Many those schools had been reported be aging degenerated condition. However, contemporary practice for planning method Indonesia’s program applies reactive strategies with single linear rate. methodology cannot properly guarantee sustainability buildings. Therefore, this study attempts examine approach adopting preventive strategy using rate model proved historical data from previous study. This develops an optimization considers budget limitation, utilizing Constraint Programming (CP) approach. proposed achieves minimum cost real case 41 under ensure adequate expected levels service. Finally, research analysis also proves that new has potential deliver superior capability assisting decisions government.
